After a while in Buenos Aires, I discovered that many, if not most, Tangueros I've met here are at least as invested in their own personal version of "the tango myth" as they are at home.
Each person's version of the myth is real to themselves and any observations I might make could be taken as an attack on "la verdad." I think it is best if I merely sit back and experience my visit, and explore my own personal Tango Truth.
Maybe when I return home I'll publish my thoughts. Probably not. You might not like it.
